This project will be the combination of 4 "intercommunalités": Nice Côte d’Azur, la Vésubie, la Tinée et les stations du Mercantour to create a "Métropole" on January 2012. It is a territory of 549,631 inhabitants.
See more about Nice Côte d’Azur The "community of communes" of Vesubie Mercantour consists of the following towns: Belvédère, La Bollène-Vésubie, Roquebillière, Saint-Martin-Vésubie, Venanson. There are 4,451 inhabitants; 252,000 square meters of land; 17.7 residents per square kilometer; and an average altitude of 884 meters. The "community of communes" of La Tinée consists of the following towns: CLANS, ILONSE, MARIE, RIMPLAS, ROUBION, ROURE, SAINT-SAUVEUR et VALDEBLORE There are 2,729 inhabitants; 337,000 square meters of land; 8.1 residents per square kilometer; and an average altitude of 884 meters. The "community of communes" of Les Stations du Mercantour consists of the following towns: AURON, ISOLA 2000, ST DALMAS LE SELVAGE. There are 2,344 inhabitants; 353,000 square meters of land; 6.2 residents per square kilometer; and an average altitude of 1,167 meters. Also joining the Métropole are other communities not now associated with a "community of communes" |
