Confiserie at Port
Confiserie at Port: looking in the window with port reflected in glass. Their candy is very popular all seasons, and especially for Nice Carnival. In France, Carnival (the celebration that culminates in Mardi Gras) is an occasion for festivals in towns across the nation. The carnival in Nice France is the biggest and most spectacular in the country. At the time of carnival Nice France erupts into a citywide party, with parades in the daytime and evening and a large bonfire and fireworks on Mardi Gras itself. Flower processions, floats, and parties make Nice the place to be for carnival in France.

Nice Tramway Line 2 FRANCE: NICE WILL OPEN TRAMWAY LINE 2 in YEAR 2016!
In a surprise move, Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi changed his mind about running Line 2 up the Promenade des Anglais and instead went with a plan that provides an 8.6 kilometer "tram/metro" with 3.6 kilometers below ground. It will cost €'450,000,000 and carry 110,000 - 140,000 daily passengers. It will run between Gare de Riquier and new? Gare Multimodal Saint-Augustin.
Boulevard Rene Cassin / Avenue Californie at the Champion/Carrefour food market has a tramway in its future.
Fifty-three years after the closure of the Tramway de Nice et du Littoral, the Tramway de Nice began to serve its Northern and Eastern sections. 2007 saw the completion of Line 1 serving the North-South needs of the city. Line 2 now addresses the East-West needs. This WebSite will be updated continuously until completion of Line 2 in Year 2016.
Nice Côte d’Azur Tramway View of Nice from the Poste de Commandement Centralisé. The office tower provides a great view of the city of Nice. The tramway heads down Boulevard Comte de Falicon on it's 8.7 km path to Pont Michel. Initially, 20 trams will cover the 21 stations and are expected to carry 60,000 riders per day. The trams operate on overhead contact lines carrying 750 volt direct current. Exceptions at busy Place Masséna and Place Garibaldi require use of onboard batteries. The Las Planas Parcazur, connected to the Las Planas tram station, provides adequate park and ride facilities, plus connection to the bus system.

The Central Control Room

"Poste de Commandement Centralisé" or "P.C.C." is located in an office tower above the maintenance center. It is the true nerve center of the network, in operation 24 hours a day.

It manages the tram and bus lines on a real time basis and is directly connected to the trams and the stations by an electronic communications system. Tram locations are obtained by GPS (Global Positioning Satellite).

The Poste de Commandement Centralisé exercises real time flow of the trams (switches, signals, electric sub-stations, etc). The PCC manages communications with travellers (loudspeaker announcements, digital display boards for passenger information, answering calls from the telephones located in stations, etc).

The Poste de Commandement Centralisé is connected to a network of video cameras, and is responsible for travellers' safety in both the trams and the stations.

All of them gather for one of the major events of the year: the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix, which takes place in the streets of the city. The nights are marvelous: charity dinner or gala organized by the Grimaldi family in its Palace, dancing in night-clubs such as The Living Room, gambling in the Casino.

Required Attire for a Remote Workforce

Ever wonder how your telecommuting colleagues really live? Turns out, many of them actually do work in their pajamas. They also tend to love their work-life balance – to the point where they’d take a pay cut to maintain the status quo. This is a “must read” for both remote workers and for their office-bound managers.
